Woodvalley Community Strategies is an action-oriented planning firm rooted in the idea that communities and public agencies can work together to develop plans that matter, achieving great things together.

Woodvalley takes its name from the street where our founder grew up in Elkridge, Maryland — a place of small-town main streets, family bakeries, hand-painted signs, and community pride. Those towns, and the people in them, represent the heart of America at its best.

Woodvalley Community Strategies specializes in Community Planning, Transportation Planning, and Capital Project and Grant Management. Learn more about our work below.

We're pragmatists. No unicorns and rainbows — just honest assessments, real problems, and workable solutions. A 71-objective plan for a town of 1,700 isn't a strategy; it's a shelf document.
We help communities slim down to 3 or 4 big ideas people can rally around, then build a roadmap to get there — and stick around to help make it happen. We ask hard questions, say the quiet part out loud, and push back when needed. Communities deserve that honesty.
